WHAT IS COLORECTAL CANCER?

Also known as colon cancer or bowel cancer. This can present as bleeding from the rectum, a change in bowel function, abdominal pain, vomiting, weight loss and irregular rectal behaviour.

PREVENT COLON CANCER

Colon cancer is preventable. By undergoing a colonoscopy, treatment options can be discussed based on the results of the early diagnosis. This will enable us to accurately carry out the necessary treatment action and begin the healing process.

ACCURATE REMOVAL OF CANCEROUS TISSUES

Cancerous tissue can now be cleared out accurately with the da Vinci robotics surgery. This modern technology, first adopted in NZ by Dr. Chris Wakeman, allows surgeons to operate through a few small incisions, giving the patient fewer scars and a quicker recovery.
